Welcome to the...
Y-City Writers
Website and Forum
...we have ways of making you write!
There is an old saying that everyone has a great story in them...It's our belief that everyone probably has a lot more stories than that, and that all of those stories are jostling for position, anxious to see the world beyond the author's mind. Y-City Writers Page was created by a Zanesville, Ohio, Writers Group as a free website dedicated to encouraging and improving our writing experience with challenges, news of writers conferences and writing events, our favorite writing links and so much more. We have only one hard and fast rule here -- GET SOMETHING DOWN. Go into your writing excited and and nervous...like you're about to go on a roller coaster...and no matter what you choose to write...or where your words lead you...enjoy the ride, raise the bar, and meet that challenge. You're going to be very surprised to see what happens when you do.

August 16, 2010- Prompts, About Us
HELLO, ONE AND ALL: Thought we'd try diversifying a bit. Kim has putting the useful writing tidbits she finds on the YCW Face Book page (see above), and Rita's still updating this page, and of course, our blog is always in play. What this means is that you may get even more lovely happy writing information if you do a quick run through all three of our sites, because there are likely to be different tips on all of them. Hopefully, you'll find an information format that appeals to you the most. Thanks for your time.
*Please consider that some publishers may consider you a published author if you post your work on this site, and that it might affect your options in regard to certain contests or submission requests where a publisher is seeking UNPUBLISHED AUTHORS or UNPUBLISHED WORK. You may wish to post only items here that you do not intend to publish elsewhere, but that is entirely up to you. When in doubt, please check with your intended publisher prior to any submission to that publisher.
